The Angel offers a choice of bars, the spacious Italian Restaurant and an airy, glazed courtyard allowing guests to relax in the atmosphere of their choosing. The front bar looks onto the Thoroughfare and is ideal for enjoying a bar meal or informal Italian meal whilst benefiting from a real fire during winter months. The smaller back bar gets the morning sun and is great for a coffee whilst reading the papers, or a refreshment following an energetic walk along one of the local trails.
Food is available all day from the bar menu with a wide range of dishes on offer. Following the relaxation of lockdown measures we are offering our full bar menu and everything is freshly prepared and carefully served with the emphasis on quality and good value.

The Courtyard
The courtyard, under its high glazed roof serves to tie the building together and allows the other rooms their independence but is the place to meet friends and catch up on the latest news.
The verdant plantings lend a relaxing sense of calm whilst the historic Tavern Clock, which was made by George Suggate of Halesworth 200 years ago, relentlessly marks time reminding us how we are all just passing through.
Well behaved dogs are welcome in the Courtyard and back bar area, but please refrain from bringing them into the front bar or restaurant.
If the weather is really nice there is also a small patio towards the rear of the building with heated smoking shelters and parasols providing a further area for al fresco dining or simply enjoying a warm and sunny day.
