Cleone's Italian Restaurant

Our Italian Restaurant was conceived in 1995 and set out to offer carefully prepared, authentic Italian dishes including pastas, pizzas, meat, fish and vegetarian options.

The imperative has always been to ensure quality and value so that our customers feel confident to drop in at any time, although bookings are advisable at key times.

Since opening, Cleone’s has become very popular within the town and further afield opening everyday for lunch and dinner and serving traditional Sunday Lunches every week.

We can cater for larger parties too arranging special menus to suit budgets or for pre-order to ensure a speedy service.

Whether dining as a couple or as part of a larger group, you can be assured that all our dishes are carefully planned and prepared with your pleasure our top priority.

The Italian menu changes regularly so that we can make the most of local and seasonal produce, drawing from many of the local suppliers.

We believe in supporting the local economy and buy vegetables from the Thoroughfare, meat from Bramfield, fresh fish from Lowestoft, bread from Saxmundham, eggs from Beccles and Homemade Jams from town, to name but a few.

The friendly staff make great efforts to ensure our customers leave with a sense of having received delicious food at a resonable price.

We have regularly changing specials available from the blackboards in the restaurant and these are often themed to regions of Italy, giving customers the opportunity to find out a bit more about the Italian ‘Cucina’.

Every Wednesday evening, we have our Pizza/Pasta Night offer where for a set price you can get 2 main course pastas or large pizzas (or one of each) and get a free half litre of wine.

Adnams supply our wines and here too we endeavour to offer superior value for our customers by applying a fixed mark up per bottle rather than using a percentage method.

This way the more expensive wines become better value which hopefully allows our guests to experience and enjoy better quality wine for their money.

We serve a large number of the wines by the glass as well which again makes them more accessible for more people.

Gift Vouchers

Cleone’s Vouchers are also available in both £10 and £20 denominations for use against meals in the restaurant or in the bars and make ideal gifts for friends and family.
